Terms of Service
Last Updated: Sep 1st, 2026
Welcome to MeetScript. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of MeetScript's Chrome Extension, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service.
By installing the MeetScript Chrome Extension, creating an account, or otherwise accessing the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.
1. About MeetScript
MeetScript is a bot-free meeting transcription and recording platform delivered as a Google Chrome Extension. The Service captures audio, generates real-time transcripts, and produces AI-powered summaries entirely on the client side — no external bot joins your meetings. Meeting data syncs to your secure MeetScript account for post-meeting review, annotation, search, and sharing.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. By agreeing to these Terms, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 13 years of age;
- You have not previously been suspended or removed from the Service;
- Your registration and use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations; and
- If accepting on behalf of an organization, you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
3. Accounts and Registration
3.1 Account Creation
To access most features of the Service, you must register for an account using Google OAuth 2.0 authentication. By signing in, you authorize MeetScript to access basic profile information (name, email address, and profile photo) from your Google account. You agree that the information associated with your account is accurate and you will keep it up to date.
3.2 Workspace Model
Upon sign-up, a personal workspace is created automatically for you. You may join an external team workspace, at which point your personal workspace is suspended and the team workspace becomes active. You may be a member of at most one external workspace at any given time. When you leave a team workspace, your personal workspace is automatically restored and all your meetings are transferred back to it.
3.3 Account Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for all activities that occur under it. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you believe your account has been compromised. MeetScript reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts at its discretion.
3.4 Workspace Roles
Workspaces have 3 roles: Super admin, admin and member. Super Admin only available in Team plan. Super admin and admins may invite members, assign roles, and manage workspace settings. There must always be at least one admin in a workspace. An admin may not leave a workspace without first assigning another admin. When a user leaves a workspace, their meeting data is transferred to their new workspace.
4. Chrome Extension and Bot-Free Operation
The MeetScript Chrome Extension operates entirely within your browser. No external bot, participant, or automated caller joins your meetings. The Extension captures audio and generates transcripts.
You are solely responsible for:
- Ensuring you have the legal right to record meetings in your jurisdiction;
- Informing all meeting participants that the session is being recorded and transcribed, where required by applicable law; and
- Obtaining any necessary consent from participants before using the Service.
Recording laws vary by jurisdiction. It may be an offense to record individuals without their prior consent. MeetScript does not condone the use of the Service for illegal purposes.
5. Plans, Billing, and Payment
5.1 Plans
MeetScript offers Free, Basic, Pro, Team plans. Features and usage limits (measured in transcription & recording minutes, AI credits) vary by plan. Plan details and current pricing are available at meetscript.io/pricing.
5.2 Paid Subscriptions
Paid plans are billed on a monthly or annual basis as selected at checkout. All fees are charged in advance. By subscribing, you authorize MeetScript to charge the applicable fees to your payment method on each renewal date.
5.3 Seat Licensing
For team workspaces, Admins purchase a number of Basic/ Pro/ Team seats. Admins assign paid licenses to specific workspace members; unassigned members remain on the Free tier within the workspace. Purchased seats do not have to equal the total number of workspace members.
5.4 Automatic Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time via the Billing page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and you retain access to paid features until that date.
5.5 Refunds
All fees are non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as expressly stated in these Terms.
5.6 Price Changes
MeetScript reserves the right to change pricing with advance notice. Continued use of the Service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
5.7 Payment Processing
Payments are processed via Stripe. By providing payment information, you agree to Stripe's terms of service. MeetScript does not store full card details.
6. Usage Limits
Each plan includes a monthly transcription, recording limit (measured in minutes) and AI credit limit. Usage resets at the start of each billing period. If you exceed your monthly transcription or recording limit, new transcription and recordings will be paused until the limit resets or you upgrade your plan..
7. Your Content
7.1 Ownership
You retain all ownership rights to the meeting content you capture, transcribe, and store using MeetScript ("User Content"). MeetScript does not claim ownership of your meeting recordings, transcripts, or summaries.
7.2 License to MeetScript
By using the Service, you grant MeetScript a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process, and transmit your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service. This license is revocable by deleting your content or closing your account.
7.3 Your Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for your User Content and for ensuring that your use of the Service does not violate any applicable law, infringe any third-party rights, or breach any confidentiality obligations. MeetScript is not responsible for the accuracy of transcripts or AI-generated summaries.
7.4 Shared and Public Content
When you share meeting content via a link or email, access is governed by the privacy setting you apply to that meeting. You are responsible for choosing the appropriate privacy level. MeetScript is not liable for unauthorized access resulting from your sharing settings.

10. Account Termination
10.1 Termination by You
You may delete your account at any time from Account Settings. Upon deletion, all your personal data, meetings, transcripts, and recordings are permanently deleted and cannot be recovered. If you are the only Admin of a workspace with other members, you must assign a new Admin before deleting your account. Active subscriptions are cancelled at the end of the current billing period.
10.2 Termination by MeetScript
MeetScript reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that MeetScript reasonably determines to be harmful to the Service or other users. Upon termination, your license to use the Service ceases immediately.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you must stop using the Service.
15. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction for any claim involving intellectual property rights or unauthorized access to the Service.
