Learn About Your Team and Workspace in MeetScript
What is a workspace?
When you sign up for MeetScript, a personal workspace is created for you automatically. You can invite teammates to join at any time — turning it into a shared environment where your team can capture, organise, and collaborate on meetings together. Alternatively, you can join an existing workspace by accepting an invitation from another workspace’s Admin.
Workspace rules
| Rule | Detail |
|---|---|
| One workspace at a time | You can only belong to one workspace at a time |
| Joining a new workspace | Accepting an invitation to a new workspace removes you from your current one automatically. |
| Leave a workspace | You can also leave your current workspace at any time. Your meetings stay with you and follow you to your next workspace — nothing is lost when you leave. |
| Your meetings stay with you | Meetings belong to your account — not the workspace. They are not affected when you leave or join a workspace |
| Empty workspace | If the last member leaves, the workspace is automatically deleted. Any active subscription is cancelled first. |
Roles in MeetScript
Super Admin (Team plan only)
An admin is promoted to Super Admin if he is the user upgrading the workspace plan to Team.
| Permission | Super Admin |
|---|---|
| Access all meetings in the workspace | ✅ |
| Clone and transfer meeting ownership | ✅ |
| Manage user groups | ✅ |
| Access Team Statistics and Audit Logs | ✅ |
| Manage members and roles | ✅ |
| Manage billing | ✅ |
| Assign and unassign seats | ✅ |
Super Admin is only available on the Team plan. If the workspace downgrades, the Super Admin role is automatically revoked and the person becomes a regular Admin.
Admin
A member with management permissions — can invite members, manage role, and manage workspace settings.
| Permission | Admin |
|---|---|
| Manage members and roles | ✅ |
| Update invite settings | ✅ |
| Manage user groups (Team plan only) | ✅ |
| Manage billing (If the admin is the user who manage the payment.) | ✅ |
| Assign and unassign seats (If the admin is the user who manage the payment.) | ✅ |
Member
A standard workspace member with access to their own meetings and meetings shared with them.
| Permission | Member |
|---|---|
| Invite other members. (Unless invite settings allow it) | ✅ |
Seats and plan features
Seats are the paid licenses in your workspace. Not every member needs a seat — seats determine billing headcount, not feature access.
How seats work:
- The workspace Admin purchases seats
- Seats are assigned to the members who joined the workspace earliest automatically when purchase, but can be adjust manually.
- If the workspace reduces the number of paid seats below the number currently assigned, MeetScript automatically revokes/ unassigns seats from the most recently assigned members first.
- Team features (user groups, analytics, Super Admin) are unlocked for the whole workspace as long as at least one seat is on the Team plan — not gated per member
What happens when you’re unassigned from a seat:
- Your workspace membership is not affected
- You remain in the workspace and can still access meetings shared with you
- Your billing contribution is removed at the next billing cycle
Leaving a workspace
You can leave a workspace at any time from Settings → Teams → Leave workspace, with some conditions:
| Condition | Can leave? |
|---|---|
| Regular member | ✅ Anytime |
| Admin — other admins exist | ✅ Anytime |
| Admin — only admin, other members remain | ❌ Must promote another member to Admin first |
What happens after you leave:
- If you have no other workspace to go to, MeetScript automatically creates a new personal workspace for you on the Free plan
- Your meetings stay with you. They are linked to your account, not the workspace — so nothing is lost when you leave.
- If you had an active paid subscription, it is cancelled immediately with no refund when you join a new workspace
FAQs
Can I be in two workspaces at the same time?
No — MeetScript supports one workspace per account at a time. Joining a new workspace removes you from your current one.
What happens to my meetings if I leave the workspace?
Your meetings stay with you. They are linked to your account, not the workspace — so nothing is lost when you leave.
If your workspace is on the Team plan, a Super Admin may have configured a policy to automatically clone your meetings and transfer ownership to another member when you leave. If this applies to you, the cloned copies are kept within the workspace for continuity — but your original meetings remain yours and follow you to your next workspace.
Can I rejoin a workspace after leaving?
Yes — an Admin of that workspace can send you a new invitation at any time.
Can I have multiple Admins?
Yes — a workspace can have multiple Admins. There is no limit.
What is the difference between Admin and Super Admin?
Admins manage workspace, members and billing. Super Admins have additional oversight capabilities — they can view all meetings in the workspace, clone and transfer meeting ownership, and access Team Statistics and Audit Logs. Super Admin is only available on the Team plan.
