Learn About Collaboration Features in MeetScript
1. Comments and threads
Comments let you and your team have conversations directly inside a meeting — anchored to a specific moment in the transcript.
Post a comment
- Open a meeting from your dashboard
- Go to the Transcript tab
- Hover over or select the transcript line you want to comment
- Type your comment and press Submit

Anyone with access to the meeting can see and respond to comments.
Reply to a comment
Every comment is the start of a thread. To reply:
- Click Reply under any comment
- Type your response and press Submit
Replies are grouped under the original comment, keeping discussions organized by topic.
Edit or delete your comment
- Hover over your comment and click the three-dot menu (⋮)
- Select Edit to update the text, or Delete to remove it
You can only edit or delete your own comments. Comments made by others cannot be modified.
Notifications for comments and threads
When someone replies to a thread you’re part of, you receive a notification:
- In-app — appears in your notification center
- Email — sent if you have the “New comment/ Thread reply” notification enabled in Settings → Notifications
Everyone who has previously commented in a thread is notified when a new reply is posted, except the person who just replied.
2. Bookmarks
Bookmarks let you flag important moments in a meeting transcript so you can find them quickly later. You can mark any transcript line as Positive, Concerning, or Important — making it easy to highlight key insights
How to add a bookmark
- Open a meeting from your dashboard
- Go to the Transcript tab
- Hover over or select the transcript line you want to bookmark
- Click the Bookmark icon
- Choose a bookmark type from the dropdown:
- Positive — highlights something that went well or a strong insight
- Concerning — flags something that needs attention or follow-up
- Important — marks a key decision, action item, or critical moment
The selected line is bookmarked and labeled with your chosen type
Edit or delete your bookmarks
- Hover over your bookmark and click the three-dot menu (⋮)
- Select other type to update the bookmark, or Delete to remove it
You can only view, edit or delete your own bookmarks. Bookmarks made by others cannot be viewed or modified.
3. Meeting notes
Meeting notes give your team a shared space to capture context, decisions, and follow-ups — all in one place alongside the transcript.
Who can write notes
Notes are shared — one set of notes per meeting, visible to everyone with access. Only the meeting owner can create, edit, and delete notes. All other users can read them.
How to add notes
- Open a meeting from your dashboard
- Go to the Notes tab
- Click anywhere in the notes area and start typing
- Notes save automatically — there is no Save button
Formatting options
The notes editor supports basic rich text formatting:
- Bold, italic, underline
- Headings
- Numbered lists and bullet lists
Notes in downloaded files
When you download a meeting, you can choose to include notes in the exported file. Notes appear as a dedicated section in PDF, DOCX, TXT, and MD exports.
4. Sharing meetings with your team
Sharing lets you give specific people or your whole workspace access to a meeting — so they can review the transcript, watch the recording, and join the conversation.
Share by link
- Open a meeting and click Share
- Copy the meeting link and send it to anyone you want to give access to
Access is controlled by the meeting’s privacy setting. Make sure the privacy level matches who you want to be able to open the link.
Share with specific people
- Enter a name or email address
- Click Share
Meetings you share appear in the Shared with me tab of the recipients.
Privacy levels
| Privacy setting | Who can access |
|---|---|
| Only owner | Only owner and people shared with can access |
| Teammates | All teammates and people shared with can access |
| Public | Anyone who has the shared link can access |
You can set a default privacy level for all new meetings in Settings → Recording & Privacy, or change it per meeting at any time.
5. Organizing meetings for your team
Folders help your team find the right meeting quickly — without searching through everything.
Create a folder
- In the sidebar, click + Create folder under My Workspace
- Name the folder and press Enter
Move a meeting to a folder
- Click Move to folder on a meeting
- Choose the destination folder
Workspace visibility
Meetings set to Teammates or public are visible to all workspace members under My Workspace in the sidebar, organized by the folders you’ve created.
