Google Drive Integration

The Google Drive integration lets you automatically save your meeting transcripts, recordings, and AI summaries to Google Drive after every call — so everything is backed up, organised, and accessible without any manual work. This applies to the meetings you own.

How to connect Google Drive

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations
  2. Click Google Drive
  3. Click Connect
  4. Sign in with your Google account and grant the required permissions
  5. Google Drive is now connected to your MeetScript account

How to configure auto-save

After connecting, set up what gets saved automatically after each meeting:

  1. Go to Settings → Integrations → Google Drive → Configure
  2. Toggle on the content you want to save:
    • Save transcript — saves the transcript
    • Save recording — saves the meeting videos
    • Save summary — saves the AI summary (saved when generated, updated when regenerated)
  3. Choose your preferred file format for transcripts and summaries: PDF, DOCX, TXT, or MD
  4. Select the destination folder in your Google Drive
  5. Click Save

Once configured, MeetScript saves your meeting outputs automatically when each meeting is processed — no manual action needed.

When does auto-save trigger?

ContentAuto-save triggerCondition
TranscriptWhen transcript processing is complete after the meeting endsYou are the meeting owner
RecordingWhen video processing is complete after the meeting endsYou are the meeting owner
AI summaryWhen the owner generates or regenerates the summary. You are the meeting owner AND you are the one who generated/ regenerated the summary

If no summary has been generated yet when the meeting ends, only the transcript and recording are saved. The summary is saved separately when the owner generates it later.

What happens when a summary is regenerated:
The existing summary file in Google Drive is overwritten with the new version. The filename stays the same. No duplicate files are created.

What happens when ownership is transferred to you?
If a meeting’s ownership is transferred to you, you become the current owner and your Google Drive settings apply going forward. Any transcript or recording that was already saved to the previous owner’s Drive before the transfer remains there — it is not automatically copied to your Drive. To save the transcript or recording to your own Drive, you need to save them manually. AI summaries you generate after the transfer are saved to your Drive automatically.

FAQs

Does connecting Google Drive affect my existing meetings?

No — connecting Google Drive only affects meetings going forward. Meetings recorded before the integration was connected are not saved automatically.

Can I choose a specific folder in Google Drive?

Yes — you can select or create a destination folder when configuring the integration.

What happens if my Google Drive storage is full?

The save fails. We recommend keeping an eye on your Google Drive storage to avoid missing saves.

If I change the summary format setting, does it affect files already saved?

No — the new format applies to future saves only. Previously saved files are not updated.

Does Google Drive integration work on all plans?

Yes — Google Drive integration is available on all MeetScript plans.

What happens to my Drive files if I disconnect the integration?

Files already saved in Google Drive remain untouched. Only future auto-saves stop.
